The White Tiger is a new addition to the colourful Future Fly zoo. The freerace board comes in three sizes and was developed jointly by Arnon Dagan and Youtuber and shop owner Mario Kümpel. "The aim was to create something new and break free from the usual rules of the windsurfing industry, especially when it comes to the product price," explains Mario. The board is a combination of longer, classic shapes and modern, lively shortboards. The development process, which took more than two years, was closely monitored and is shown in a documentary.
The objective when developing the Future Fly White Tiger was clearly defined: Something new was to be created that would stand out from previous industry standards, particularly in terms of pricing: "While PWA boards will always remain expensive due to the development costs, a noticeable change should take place with consumer boards," say the makers of the White Tiger. Future Fly produces in the Kinetic factory and agreed to Mario Kümpel and Wind Lounge's idea of rethinking the pricing policy for consumer boards. "The objective was clear, the board had to continue to be produced at Kinetic in order to maintain the quality," explains Mario. "But the price had to fall below 2,000 euros." The price for the White Tiger is now 1899 euros - without compromising on quality, as Mario emphasises.
In order to realise this price, numerous optimisations were made and ultimately the company's own margin was also reduced. The team behind the White Tiger is pursuing a strategy based on more stable prices and a modified discount policy. The aim is to create more transparency for customers and at the same time enable better planning for the brand. The team now hopes that this endeavour will pay off in the long term.
