New freerace board: "Completely new speed ranges" - three questions about the Duotone Blitz

Duotone is revising its freeride and freerace range. Alongside the Twinser-Eagle, the Blitz is the most prominent new addition. Amongst all kinds of animals in the Duotone zoo, it is intended to replace the freeraceboard Blast and enable "completely new speed ranges", as Head of Marketing Alex Hasch promises.

Where does the Blitz fit into your board range? Will other models be omitted?

With the Blitz, we have created a thoroughly worthy successor to our Blast in the freerace segment. With the motto "maximum performance with minimum effort", the Blitz makes going fast totally easy and is therefore the perfect base for anyone who wants to show their mates their fins on the water without stressing themselves out.

What are the most important aspects of the shape?

Although the Blitz can be jibed aggressively, the wide tail makes it feel very loose. Thanks to the far out footstrap positions, you can push the Blitz over the fin like a thoroughbred slalom board up to maximum speed. Thanks to the finely tuned 2-step cut outs, the Blitz planes superbly and the planing area is reduced at full speed for completely new speed ranges in the freerace segment. Thanks to the strong downward notch in the mast foot area - similar to the Falcons - the Blitz is easy to control and the gap between the lower leech and the board can be reduced to a minimum. If you want, you can tune the Blitz with our Prepreg Carbon Race E/LAB fin for maximum performance and speed.

Will the Duotone Blitz only be available in D/LAB or also in other designs?

The Blitz will be available in D/LAB (note: only on pre-order), SLS and "Original" versions.
