As a particularly long and wide board, the Goya Volar offers plenty of safety for intermediates and heavy freeriders. With a variety of strap positions, the board is very versatile.

The price cracker of the group offers all conceivable strap options for intermediates to freeriders and the maximum stability you can expect in this volume class. Hoisting the sail, launching, sorting the feet into the straps - everything is as easy on the large, flat deck as it can be on a centreless planing board. Even when planing and in strong winds, the particularly wide board remains perfectly controllable, is stable on the piste and does not get rattled by choppy waves in its dampened planing position. However, the jibe can only be initiated from this stable planing position with a lot of pressure.

Ideally, power jibes are performed in wide radii and offer a very high chance of staying dry, even with little experience. Attempts to press the board tightly, on the other hand, require leg strength and a lot of weight to put on the edge. In the planing phase, the high weight has a somewhat restrictive effect, as the board cannot follow lightweight freeriders such as Blast, Eagle or Carve.

surf conclusion Goya Volar

A very stable board, even for heavy intermediates, which requires a little more sail pull in light planing winds. Lighter riders up to 80 kilos will probably prefer the 145-litre board, ideally in a lightweight carbon construction for a safe glide guarantee, and it then also offers advanced freeriders even more riding fun.

Very stable and easy to surf

Less slippery in heavy construction
