Can the Starboard Carve also inspire intermediates? The board in the test of large freeride boards is definitely fast and glides well.

Lowered and with side pipes! That's probably how car tuners would describe their enthusiasm. In fact, the deck of the Carve is concave and the mast track is lower than the standing position (see gallery above). The bottom of the tail is adorned with quite deep cut-outs, which are usually given to more speed-orientated boards. And the Carve definitely won't disappoint the dedicated freerider. Early planing is combined here with a very successful planing position, in which the board flies freely over the waves without touching down, but also without the fear of an uncontrolled take-off. And in the unlikely event of contact with the water, the strongly V-shaped underwater hull cushions this comfortably.

The Carve is a touch freer and sportier than the Magic Ride and also a shade more controllable than the Fanatic Blast: a freerider that is stable underfoot from planing to top speed and offers plenty of performance. With good foot pressure, the board also glides willingly into the jibe and maintains a good radius and speed in the turn. Because there is also enough space and stability for turning, as well as the necessary strap position quite far inwards, the board is also suitable for planing riders. The only thing you have to do without is a generously laid carpet - here you are standing on rough parquet.
