Fanatic Hawk 135 LTD
Fanatic Hawk 135 LTD
Surf recommendation: A board for active riders, for an active riding style. Not just for racing, but a board that encourages jumping and fast jibes even in this volume class. More suitable for advanced freeriders.

On land: The new, soft loops also move inwards in the plug rows when they are moved to the rear, which always ensures an optimum distance to the rail. The high-gloss finish of the elegant LTD version is eye-catching.

On the water: Whoops, what's going on now? After switching from one of the comfortable slipper freeriders, you feel like you're standing on spikes on the Hawk. The board inspires above all with its snappy, direct and very free planing, it takes off rapidly with the first strong gust and, like a hurdler, you actually want to lift the fin on every big choppy wave. In the test field, the Hawk is one of the boards with the sportiest surfing feeling, but the fast spurter also needs to be kept on course. The rider has to help to keep it stable around the longitudinal axis, but then he can let it fly freely over the waves and push it tightly into the jibe between two Lake Garda waves at will. However, external control and guidance is also required in the bend, and the steering is a little too direct for jibing students. The particularly pleasant deck shape and the comfortable straps also stand out positively in this high-quality test environment.
