On land: The fact that the JP looks very flat in the deck area is also due to the thick edges, which are almost reminiscent of those of its stable brother, the Super Sport. In contrast to the Super Sport, however, the X-Cite Ride offers a riser-friendly strap position - because it is on the inside and further forwards. Pads and straps are quite comfortable, and the familiar channels in the underwater hull are designed to ensure a flat planing surface. The very wide stern features a 44 mm Powerbox fin.
On the water: The flat deck also offers enough safety for upwind riders when bobbing, the board is balanced and stable in the water. The transition to planing is quick, then the JP sprints powerfully to top speed and hangs compactly and lightly on the foot - even in the lower wind range. In wind holes and on the cross, the board also holds its speed securely. The X-Cite Ride performs surprisingly well in tight jibes - you wouldn't expect the voluminous tail to be able to be pushed into quite tight radii. Even in wide radii and when pressed into turns by demanding freeriders, the board remains stable on the edge without bouncing and can be carved in variable radii, even if there are other boards that allow you to get out of the jibe with even more speed. A successful all-round freeride board with an overall wide range of use.
