JP-Australia X-Cite Ride 145 FWS
The JP is significantly more voluminous with a width that is typical for the group - and translates this into a gliding advantage. The most stable board in the test and still a good feeling of speed. The characteristics remain almost unchanged compared to the 130.

On land: The new FWS boards allow the wood veneer to shine through the lacquer. Loop positions are available for all requirements. Pads and deck shape are designed for comfort.

(Like X-Cite Ride 130.)

On the water: The large X-Cite has made the leap into the group via the width, not the volume, but then it actually looks bigger. Compared to the 130, it only lacks a little top speed, but the 145-litre Bolide also looks very direct and sporty in the FWS design and should also be fun for good surfers. As a result, the board manages the balancing act of being suitable for intermediates and having plenty of potential - you don't have to buy a new board as soon as you've learnt to loop surf.

In our comparison rides, the JP was only slightly slower at top speed than the big Lorch. However, the board feels more lively, is more fun and would therefore be our first recommendation for better surfers who want so much volume. The planing reserves are huge and classic wide power jibes are wonderful on the 145 - as good as you can expect in this board size.

surf recommendation: For heavier surfers who are looking for a sporty-looking yet easy-to-ride board.
