The X-Cite Ride is more direct than ever before and conveys a sporty feeling of speed. The board is easy to ride and offers comfortable strap options for all skill levels. A good entry-level and ascent board in the freeride class.

On landWith three different strap positions, the X-Cite Ride covers the entire range - from beginner to racer. The lightweight Pro version comes with a G10 CNC fin, but unfortunately - probably for weight reasons - with smaller pads than the FWS design. The straps are very comfortable, as is the deck shape in the stance area. As with the Super Sport, you don't get a board with a filler look, but a very careful lacquer finish.

On the waterJust like the 130 already tested, the 120 has also been given a firmer suspension. The new X-Cite Ride is now noticeably firmer and conveys a greater feeling of speed. In an objective performance comparison, the board remains in the good midfield. The X-Cite Ride impresses with a very balanced load distribution on the legs and a planing position that requires little body tension to set the board at the right angle. Standing on the board, pulling tight and hanging firmly on the fork - that's enough to get almost full performance out of the board. On an upwind course, the board with its flat planing position sometimes hits the wave hard, and the JP also prefers to jibe between two waves. When crossing waves, the board is slowed down comparatively strongly. The Super Sport is hardly more demanding to ride than the X-Cite Ride, especially if you prefer to surf with three straps (back in the centre).
