Starboard Go Sport 144
The Starboard Go requires a slightly more precise board load for effective planing, but then accelerates above average and immediately becomes very fast. The board (same shape as the Starboard Futura) conveys a modern planing feeling, as we know it from wide early planers. The existing racy strap option and the powerful fin go well with this. However, the fork has to be mounted a little higher, which is likely to annoy beginners in particular.
In the jibe, the board wants to glide wide or be pressed really tight, in medium radii it is a little more wobbly in the water.
StrengthsSporty and fast, super tight fit, good handle.
Weaknesses: In strong winds, the large fin causes turbulence in the board.
