Quatro is launching the new Polakow model in five sizes. Despite the name, the board is not just for wave specialists.

Jason Polakow inspired a whole generation of windsurfers in the 90s with his inimitable style in the waves. After the end of his career, he mainly made a name for himself with big wave adventures. So what can you expect from a board that bears his name? A wave banana that only slides with six metres of ocean swell behind the tail?

If you believe Tom Eierding from the Quatro importer TPE SportsThe new Polakov model is intended to be much more suitable for the masses than the name suggests: "The Polakov was developed between the Pyramid and Cube positioned, it is the next step back to Quatro's roots. With the Polakow, Quatro is launching a wave machine with advanced materials and an attractive weight. The target group are wave surfers who tend to focus their windsurfing on riding waves - sideoffshore, sideshore and also sideonshore. Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't jump with the board," says Tom Eierding, explaining the concept.

The new model for the surf will be available in five sizes - with volumes of 77/81/85/89 and 93 litres. The weights should be between 5.2 and 5.7 kilos, depending on the size selected. The board always comes in a package with an MFC board bag and costs 2995 euros.
