The Quatro Cube 6 underwent a major redesign back in 2025, when the outline was made significantly rounder and the board was given a weight reduction with lighter fin boxes and a lighter mast track. We have tested how the shape compares!

The underwater surface is characterised by a double concave V at the front, a slight mono-concave in front of the fins and a visible rocker at the tail. The pads are grippy but quite firm, while the straps are very soft and supple. As is now common practice everywhere, the rear is double-bolted to prevent the strap from twisting. Four US boxes were installed on the Cube, which also offer adjustment options. The fins are all fixed with an FCS screwdriver.

Uncomplicated board also for wave beginners

The Cube is not an acceleration miracle that takes off like a rocket, it initially needs a little more sail pull, but ultimately gets up to speed without any problems. The deep position in the water can be modified by moving the foot straps and mast track slightly behind the centre position. In any case, the board is a pleasure in rough conditions, as the Cube pulls through the chop in a controlled manner and as if on rails - ideal for concentrating on the right timing when searching for suitable ramps without interference.

When riding waves, the new Cube shines as a true all-rounder: it has retained its ability to carve through long bottom turns with maximum control from previous years. What's new is that the board can now also be steered tightly and vertically up to the lip of the wave at any time. The fact that it doesn't quite have the light-footedness of a Flikka Quad or Starboard Ultra the Quatro more than makes up for this with its simplicity - the Cube opens up its high turning potential not only to semi-professionals, but also to less experienced wave surfers. The board is also not too bad for a tight turn in knee-high Baltic Sea foam, and if need be, the concept also scores as a strong wind board for flat water - thanks to its very smooth characteristic.
