Waveboards 2026: Radical, but challenging! Video test of the Starboard Ultra

The modified Starboard Ultra scores highly in the test as an extremely fast and manoeuvrable wave board - but also makes demands on the rider. In the video test, we reveal all the strengths and weaknesses of the board and also take a look at the equipment.

With the Starboard Ultra performance waveboard, the two main sizes of 82 and 86 litres have been compared to the predecessor model (here's a test) recognisably modified. The most important changes include modified edges in the rear area, a narrower tail and more "V" in the underwater hull. Our test crew chased the board across the North Sea for many days in autumn 2025. In the following video, we reveal what we noticed and who we would recommend this model to - and who we wouldn't!
