Test WindSUP 2018: Gunsails Mov Air 10'9"
GunSails has launched the Mov'Air 10'9'', a new WindSUP on the market for 899 euros. We took it for a test ride.

The new Mov'Air SUP model is intended to be a genuine family coach - a claim that is emphasised above all by the full-coverage deck pad. The Mov'Air is moderate at 3.28 metres. A pump, rucksack, repair kit, centre fin and leash are included.

On the water:The Mov'Air is a comfortable contemporary: It's easy to stand on deck on the 34 inch (86 cm) wide board, and if you mount the wide centre fin with plenty of surface area, you don't have to worry about constantly falling in, even as a heavyweight. The large centre fin is also what raises the overall upwind performance and windsurfing suitability to a good level - especially when light riders or children with small sails are on deck, the upwind performance is better than with many competitor products. It is obvious that the board with the glued-on fin box does not mutate into a planing miracle. On the other hand, the moderate length allows the board to turn acceptably even with small (children's) sails when tacking or jibing. And if there's no wind? Then the board is suitable as a 1-a bathing island or as an easy-to-paddle SUP board with good straight-line stability.

surf conclusion:A great combination for SUPing, windsurfing in light winds and for the kids to play on. Only those who aim for glide surfing or regularly paddle long distances are making too many compromises here.
