Duotone is launching a completely new range of fins, starting with the wave and freestyle sector. The collection consists of five different product lines: the Quad Fin Set, the Tri Fin Set, the F_Wave Fin Set, the F_Wave Single and the F_Style fin. All models were developed by Kai Hopf and Dani Aeberli. The fins are CNC-milled from black G10 or injection moulded from CARBO_TECH material. A special feature of the new range: according to the manufacturer, the fins are one to two centimetres shorter than comparable sets on the market. This is made possible by the AI_FIN CAD software, which creates an efficient profile transition in the critical tip area where the fin runs to the rear, promises Duotone.

Specialised quad and thruster sets
According to the Duotone press release, the Quad Fin Set is aimed at riders looking for maximum control in demanding wave conditions. In contrast to generic multi-use fin concepts, the Quad Set has been designed as a dedicated, uncompromising system. Every outline, every profile and every response characteristic is specifically designed to deliver maximum control, drive and agility in high-performance wave conditions, according to the manufacturer. The majority of World Cup pros have been using Kai's custom fin designs for many years. The shorter design of the fins leads to improved manoeuvrability, super grip without being sticky and direct response in every turn. Each fin is CNC machined from black G10. The material offers outstanding durability, excellent impact resistance and can be easily reground if damaged.
The Tri Fin Set is also deliberately offered exclusively as a customised complete set. Instead of universal solutions for several fin configurations, the Tri Set gives the rider maximum precision, maximum drive and maximum control at World Cup level, according to the manufacturer. The centre fin is milled from black G10, while the side fins are injection-moulded from CARBO_TECH material, which ensures the necessary tip flexibility despite the short length.
F_Wave range for freewave and classic waveboards
The F_Wave product line includes both a thruster set and a single fin. Developed by Dani Aeberli, the models cover a wide range of uses. According to the manufacturer, the F_Wave fin set is the ultimate all-round thruster set for everything from classic wave conditions to fast, playful freewave sessions. The centre fin is also CNC-milled from black G10. The straighter leading edge over the lower ten to twelve centimetres of the base ensures explosive acceleration and immediate planing power, according to the promise. The profile has been refined towards the tip to create additional flex. The side fins made of CARBO_TECH Composite are designed to ensure optimum tip flex despite the compact size. The F_Wave Single delivers real all-round power for all freewave conditions. The smaller sizes focus on a wave-orientated outline, while the larger sizes transition into a fast, sporty freewave shape.
F_Style for modern new school freestyle
Finally, according to Duotone, the F_Style fin embodies the next evolutionary stage of modern freestyle performance. Dani Aeberli was one of the first to experiment with wider shapes, making the super-short fins that are now the standard for freestyle possible. The refined, thicker profile of the F_Style ensures explosive acceleration and strong counter-pressure, which delivers maximum pop - for higher jumps and more radical moves. The zero flex and twist design guarantees immediate release and unrivalled freedom when sliding, allowing you to glide effortlessly through massive double or even triple combos - smoother, more controlled and more powerful than ever before.
