The Mission helmet from ION scores highly as an impact-resistant and extremely comfortable water sports helmet. Read the test report to find out whether it also has disadvantages.

The Mission helmet is available in two colour variants (white/black) in size M/L, suitable for head circumferences of 55 to 60 centimetres. The size can be easily adjusted using an adjustment wheel at the back of the head. It should be emphasised that the mechanism is also fitted with internal padding. Speaking of padding: it falls, compared to other helmet modelsThe helmet has an above-average fit, which makes it very comfortable to wear, but also means that the wet weight of the helmet (590 grams, with ear pieces) is slightly higher than other models. The magnetic fastening of the chin strap is easy to operate, and a rubber coating prevents chafing on the neck. The impact-resistant shell is very generously dimensioned, the ION Mission helmet also absorbs hard impacts well, the protective function is above average. Like all of the manufacturer's helmets, this model also fulfils the CE EN 1385 standard. We also liked the ear pieces. These can be removed if required. When fitted, they fit comfortably on the head thanks to the double neoprene cover and, fortunately, disruptive wind noise is kept to an absolute minimum.
