Moses, you recently started building your own camping modules for cars. Presumably it all started out of self-interest, didn't it?
Exactly, I was about to write my bachelor's thesis and wanted to write it on a surf trip to Portugal. I set off in an old Opel Astra for 1000 euros and one planned month ended up being eight. Vans were too expensive for me, so I gradually converted my car for myself and after my return the idea was born to do it professionally.
Do you have a technical background?
I studied mechanical engineering and made the designs myself. The bed module is now ready for series production and will be available from mid-October.
For which vehicles does your module fit and what is the idea behind it?
It should be simple, functional and affordable. There is a single bed or a wide version. The bed module is pushed over the folded-down rear bench and can be adjusted to different heights using telescopic feet. The length of the bed can also be varied between 150 and 200 centimetres. In principle, it fits all standard cars. A mattress is also available on request. The good thing is that you can vary the height of the bed. This means you don't take up all the storage space and the car stays tidy. You can also store luggage or sails under the bed.
Where are your products manufactured and how much do they cost?
All parts of the bed are made in Germany. If necessary, everything can be dismantled and packed in a bag. The bed modules cost between 249 and 299 euros.
Are further modules planned?
Yes, cooking and cupboard modules are the next step and will follow in the new year.
