Helmets are standard when foiling - the ION Mission Select is designed to set new standards in terms of safety and comfort among water sports helmets.

Most foilers use a helmet on the water - it simply makes foiling more relaxed and you don't have to worry so much about injuries (HERE there's a test of 13 water sports helmets). With the new model, manufacturer ION wants to Mission Select now set new standards: "The technology of the Mission helmet has been tried and tested by high-performance sailing teams. The helmet is so safe that it even fulfils the winter sports standard"assures ION. Like all ION helmets, the new Mission fulfils the CE 1385 standard.

The moulded construction should also ensure a very low weight, while a special EPS foam on the inside should provide maximum impact protection and pleasant materials on the inside should ensure optimum comfort. The ear pieces on this helmet model are removable. The fastening on the chin works magnetically and can therefore be operated without any annoying fiddling, and the strap is also thickly padded for a comfortable fit on the chin. The helmet is recommended for surfers with a head circumference of 50 to 66 centimetres, is available in two colour combinations - white and black - and costs 119.99 euros.

Further information is available HERE on the manufacturer's website.
