Hardly any other brand is active in as many board sports as F2, and in addition to the Slider test model, there are three other models in the range. What they all have in common is the rigid and impact-resistant shell, into which a thick and flat padding made of EVA material is glued.

The F2 Slider model encloses the head very well and offers a good lateral hold; it hardly feels necessary to tighten the strap. This is also due to the adjustment mechanism, which allows the helmet size to be individually adjusted using a wheel, similar to that used on bicycle helmets. The tight fit on the head is an advantage because the strap sits somewhat uncomfortably on the neck, as it is relatively narrow and has no additional padding. The forehead area of the Slider is also well protected, the extensive padding is very comfortable and due to the low weight - even when wet - you quickly forget that you are surfing with a helmet. Our test model came out of the box without removable ear pads, but according to the manufacturer, these should be included in the scope of delivery - this would alleviate a small point of criticism, because in cold temperatures it gets quite draughty without ear pads.

WING conclusion:
The Slider is a no-frills, solid-looking helmet that is almost identical in construction to those from GunSails and ProLimit, offers good lateral support and sits comfortably light on the head. Price and performance are absolutely in proportion here.

Good lateral support

Belt without padding
