Soöruz is one of the hottest neoprene brands in France, and there is now an importer in Germany, Choppy Water. We tried out the new B.I.G. eco model.

The Soöruz product range includes the B.I.G. model - which stands for "Black is Green". This is an eco-neo that uses natural rubber and water-based adhesives instead of petroleum-based neoprene and solvent-based adhesives. The lamination on the outside is also made from recycled polyester. We tried out the model.

Thanks to the integrated strap, the ruff can be pulled tight, minimising water ingress. Thanks to the integrated strap, the ruff can be pulled tight, minimising water ingress.

On the waterThe B.I.G. is available in two thicknesses (4/3 and 3/2 millimetres), entry is via the wide and stretchy collar, without a zip. Even if you're not a contortionist, it's surprisingly easy to get in. The stretchy neck cuff can be easily tightened afterwards so that only a small amount of water enters even during rough washing. The Neo offers maximum freedom of movement during use and fits like a second skin. Thanks to the excellently sealed seams and the warm, cosy plush on the inside, the B.I.G. is very warm for a 4/3 - if you are looking for a pure summer neo, you might be better off with a 3/2. The other features also leave nothing to be desired, only drain holes at the leg ends would have been a useful feature to allow water to drain away better. The B.I.G. is available in sizes XS/S/M/MT/L and XL for 369 euros.
