Despite the smaller sail area, the boom size of the Nexus B is generous. In combination with a flared foot, this results in a free-rider outline. Rigged with a 400 mm RDM mast, the sail draws a deep profile from the very wide mast pocket - you can pull harder on the trim sheet here than with other sails.
The Nexus B is very stable when planing and the right angle of attack is easy to find, even with moderate planing technique. The Goya sail offers real bear forces, only the NeilPryde Fusion can keep up in the planing duel. Because the Nexus B also pulls through fully in wind holes, you simply get a great cut in the speed duel.
In manoeuvres such as jibes and duck jibes, the wider outhaul is already noticeable - the Goya is not the kind of cloth that can be rotated with two fingers. Nevertheless, it is very manoeuvrable in a straight line. If you weigh over 90 kilos, you could make use of the option of rigging the sail on a 430 mast, which should make it look a little tighter.
The Nexus B is the ideal gliding, fast freemoving sail for freeride and all-round boards, which are used more for heating and jibing than for riding waves and celebrating freestyle tricks.
