Designed as a power wave sail, the Curve is by no means out of place in the test field. The 400 mast needs to be supplemented with plenty of extension, a 430 mast is also possible. Solid lattice material is used throughout the top.
When planing, the Curve is almost freeride in the hand - it looks for the right angle of attack almost by itself, loads up nicely even without pumping and, with a predictable basic pull on the sail hand, ensures that you can put good pressure on the fin and maintain good speed in wind holes. On the straights it is not quite in the league of the lightest models, it is not particularly agile, rather powerful, but always well balanced and easy to ride.
In manoeuvres, you also feel more like you're holding a freeride sail than the wave feeling you might expect: due to the long boom, the Curve feels a little slower during rotations such as loops, duckjibes or helitacks.
The Curve impresses as a planing power sail and covers a wide range of uses. Whether you use it as a strong wind sail for flat water on single fin boards - or for jumping and looping: the Curve can do it all. What's more, thanks to its solid equipment, it can also take a beating in the surf.
