On land: The Duke gives a very robust impression with its solid, thick foil finish and lots of reinforcements. The boom is comparatively short. The sail has a slightly pre-profiled belly with the deepest camber comparatively further forward.
On the water: The Duke spares us any surprises and has retained its characteristics as a good old acquaintance. The very direct sail is light and somewhat agile in the hand, even in a straight line. You may feel a pull on the back hand with the Duck Jibe, but in normal planing the sail always remains neutral and without excessive power on the throttle hand. Nevertheless, it accelerates in the medium wind range, where some of the best top speed sails are still a little weak. It also remains light in manoeuvres, perhaps not like the most delicate, but particularly agile thanks to its short boom. And even if it doesn't completely flatten out, it "sails" very controlled during diving manoeuvres. With quite good planing characteristics, even light wind trickers will be happy with the Duke.
