Surf recommendation: "Top speed light" could be the slogan for the Gator. Lighter surfers in particular should also be happy with the Gator - as long as difficult freestyle tricks are not the main thing on the to-do list. A very versatile sail with a sporty, fast ride.

On land: The Gator is completely latticed, but with large thread spacing in the window. The foils have an average thickness, the threads in the upper X-ply are quite thin. As usual, the protector is very good and the boom is significantly shorter than on comparably sized sails. On land, you can already clearly see the shape in the two lowest, tightly tensioned battens.

On the water: The Gator is perhaps the sail with which you prefer to go full throttle in the mid to upper wind range. It is stable and particularly light on the board, and the slightly more forward sail pressure point ensures that even in the strongest gusts, the light feel with balanced power distribution to both hands is maintained. The power in general: on the straight and in the jibe, it is almost playful to direct and guide, and the clearly audible batten pressure when planing is almost surprising. Set up in one trim, you can use the sail in a really wide wind window without ever having to think about re-trimming. If you use a fast freemove board or small freerider and like to go into fast gybes with a lot of air, the Gator is the perfect choice. But you'll also be delighted with the particularly light rig weight for moves such as duck jibes.
