Freemoving sails are designed to be all-rounders on the water, combining planing power, speed, control and good manoeuvring. So if you want to cover the areas of freeride, manoeuvres and even small surf with just one sail, there is usually no way around a freemoving sail.
In the test, we compared ten models from GA Sails, Goya, GunSails, Loftsails, NeilPryde, Point-7, RRD, S2Maui, Sailloft and Severne in detail. In the following video, we show you what we noticed about the sails' features and what you need to consider when trimming the models correctly.
You can read the detailed test report with all grades and individual descriptions in the surf 5-2022 issue, available from 27 April 2022at newsagents or digitally in the surf app at any time. You can also download the print edition HERE (re-)order.
