With little force, it can be set to maximum luff trim; with the clew slightly hooked in, the battens clearly push past the side of the mast, but the rotation in this light wind trim is still butter-soft and smooth. Consequently, the handling only gets better with a little more pull on the clew. It then becomes wonderfully neutral when required, does not pull down in the jibe even when the sail is lowered and can therefore be righted and planed again with little force at the exit of the turn. Our testers were amazed at the good handling qualities of a sail in the freeride group: "The sail even invites you to do loops".
On the other hand, the pure performance is rather mediocre for a speed-loving freerider. When planing, it doesn't really take off powerfully, the acceleration is more in line with the freemove class and the top speed is also average. In the upper wind range it has increasing holding power, but remains easy to control. If you like to heat up, this is not the ideal choice. On the other hand, if you are looking for a light sail as an intermediate or mainly for manoeuvres, you will hardly be disappointed.
Manoeuvre, light, very handy
Only mediocre driving performance
