On land: The sail shows comparatively less loose leech, even in strong wind trim the typical creases on land are mainly only visible in the top area. Nevertheless, the sail can twist well over a large part of the leech, and the sail appears quite elastic overall. The mast sleeve is extremely robust, the reinforcing materials are generously dimensioned and the monofilm used is also solid. The mast protector is significantly stiffer in 2009, but allows good access for threading and covers the mast foot well.
The "jag" on the clew is reinforced by the batten running diagonally through the fork. There are four mini battens between the battens. The entire leech is edged with X-Ply. The cambers are subsequently folded up during assembly.
On the water: The V6 feels direct, a little racy and very light, it already works with a neutral clew in a very wide wind range. Despite the direct feel, the rig can be pumped well and the obviously aerodynamically efficient profile "loads up" well even in light winds. This gives the V6 a minimal advantage under the otherwise very closely spaced sails immediately after planing and in gusty winds. Even when not planing, the sail is agile, can be moved with little force and the camber rotates in the jibe without excessive jerking.
The V6 works in a wide wind range with only a loosely attached trim sheet, only needs to be retrimmed very late on the clew and is extremely stable in the hand.
