On land: A lot of monofilm is framed by the new Dyneema-X-Ply. The fork length is normal despite the sail cut.
On the water: It remains the alpha animal among wave sails - at least when the emphasis is on planing power and strong wind freeride suitability. No other sail can beat the bulbous, direct profile on the stiff-looking standard mast.
On the wave, it is not quite as playful as a light wave freak would like. However, for heavy surfers who want a lot of drive and light, neat handling, the Alpha is also a suitable choice in sideshore areas. Despite its thick mast, it rotates well, certainly never flattens out completely and has to give way to most other sails in the "off" - but it rewards a powerful style with a lot of drive and a very wide wind range in one trim.
surf recommendation: Particularly suitable for larger, slightly heavier surfers. They get a light-looking, super pressure point stable sail for waves and flat water.
