AK Durable Supply: Three-part foil range

AK Durable Supply offers a three-part foil range designed to meet the most diverse wingsurfing requirements.

The South African manufacturer (you can find a test of the AK Phazer Wingboard HERE ) is starting the new season with three different foils.

The "Trek" model is primarily intended for beginners to foiling and wingsurf freeriders and is designed to combine maximum lift and stability when flying. Compared to the fast "Plasma" model, the Trek's longer, 71 mm fuselage is designed to offer ultimate stability. The Trek is available in sizes with 1000/1300/1600 and 2000 front wings.

In contrast, the "Tracer" model is designed to appeal to wingsurfers who already have a little more previous experience and want to practise various carving manoeuvres. Excursions into the waves should also be possible with the Tracer without any problems. In contrast to the Trek, the Tracer has a higher aspect ratio, i.e. a larger wingspan in relation to the surface area and therefore a more elongated wing shape ( HERE for all the terms and basics about foils).
The "Plasma" foil goes one step further in this respect and has the highest aspect ratio in the product range. The three available front wings with an area of 1000/1300 and 1600 cm2 are designed for high top speeds in terms of their profile and slim wing shapes and have been optimised for agility in manoeuvres with a short 61 fuselage - but should also require a high level of riding ability.
