Starboard Foils 2022 - Mounting the wings in seconds
Starboard is launching some changes in the foil sector for the 2022 season - for example, a mounting system that allows the wings to be mounted in seconds.

The assembly of the wings is still one of the most time-consuming things in wingfoiling. Starboard is therefore launching a revised version of theQuick Lock, an assembly system in which the sashes are simply attached to the fuselage and can be fixed in place in a matter of seconds.

The highlight of the system is a horizontally split aluminium holder onto which the sash is attached. Using a simple integrated screw mechanism, the two halves of the mount press apart and clamp the sash in place. One turn of the screwdriver should be enough to do this. The Quick Lock I already worked according to this principle, a test of the previous version using the E-Type Foil as an example ( HERE here's the test) also revealed weaknesses. These are said to have been rectified in the Quick Lock II.

The Quick Lock II system will be used in all of the manufacturer's wing foils in the new season. The product range includes five foil sets for all areas of use from wave to freeride.
