Foiling is the hot topic at boot Düsseldorf. The German Sailing Association (DSV) is offering a seminar for all newcomers and those interested in the basics of wing foiling. The seminar will be held on 26 January from 15:00 to 16:30 in a seminar room at Messe Düsseldorf.
If you would like to be there, you can buy a ticket in advance via the DSV Academy and pick them up shortly before the start at the DSV stand in Hall 15, Stand B24 - where you will also find information on the exact location.
The seminar explains the physical basics of foiling: Why does the board fly in relatively little wind? What effects do the size and shape of the wings have? The Olympic foil classes iQFoil and Formula Kite, in which medals will be awarded for the first time in Marseille in 2024, will also be explained.
Touching is also allowed at the seminar. There is wingfoil material that participants can pick up and feel for themselves. Only trying it out yourself is not included - but there are plenty of suggestions for spots and schools on the boot!
