When the decision was made that Fanatic would merge with Duotone ( HERE there's an interview about the background), it was clear that the new collection should be photographed in a very special place. For Klaas Voget, who organised the product shoot for Duotone, it was immediately clear: Tahiti! Klaas reports: "Tahiti starts to shine with wind and waves in May and June, so the timing was perfect. So I asked our foil crew of Olivia Jenkins, Finn & Jeffrey Spencer and Clement Roseyro to join me on this wingfoil adventure and explore this stunning destination. Three of our top foilers (Finn, Jeffrey and Olivia) are based on Maui and from Hawaii, Tahiti is not much further away than the Canary Islands for us Europeans. There is a non-stop connection of less than six hours flying time from Honolulu to Papeete. So this part of the crew had a quick and comparatively easy journey. Myself, our filmmaker from Big Sexy Pictures and Clement travelled from Europe," Klaas Voget recalls.
