For three years, the Foil Festival took place on Schönberg beach just outside Kiel - now the event is moving to the sunny island of Fehmarn. From the17-20 May 2024 the festival takes place on the south beach. The fact that the spot is ideal for an event of this kind has been proven for many years by theSurf Festival, which will take place one week earlier in 2024. This means that virtually the entire infrastructure of the surf festival can be taken over on site. This includes the large beach camp, where you have the opportunity to camp directly at the spot and just a few metres from the water's edge in your camper van or van. For a small camper plus driver, for example, this costs 65 euros for four days - a fair price! Tickets are already on sale - HERE go to booking. But there are other good arguments in favour of the location: the spot on the south beach has a high wind quota and a large wind window, it offers predominantly flat water conditions - both beginners and pros can have fun here.
Foil Festival - Testing & partying with the stars
However, the move to Fehmarn does not change the basic concept of the Foil Festival. At the new location, you will once again have the opportunity to try out the latest equipment from many renowned brands free of charge and find out about the latest trends in wing and pump foiling. The Open German Championships will also be held again as part of the festival, so anyone who wants to can compete in the freestyle and race disciplines. And of course the party programme will not be neglected at this event - so you can not only party on the water with pros like Balz Müller, but perhaps also on the dance floor.
