As part of the open German Wingfoiling Championships, a Winger of the Sea will once again take place at the Baltic Sea resort of Kellenhusen.

On the occasion of the Open German Championship in Wingfoil Slalom, the organiser 1001Grad Events invites you to the Baltic seaside resort of Kellenhusen. A regatta for all wingfoil fans will take place there from 28 to 30 June. The schedule for the event is as follows:

Thursday, 27.06.2024

  • 10:00 - 22:00: Arrival & free training

Friday, 28.06.2024

  • 11:00 - 12:30: Registration at the Race Office
  • 13:00: Skippers meeting at the race office
  • 14:00 - 18:00: Race
  • 18:00: Evening programme with live DJ

Saturday, 29.06.2024

  • 9:30 am: Skippers meeting
  • 10:30 - 17:00: Race
  • 18:00: Evening programme, including a communal meal and live DJ

Sunday, 30 June 2024

  • 9:00 am: Skippers meeting
  • 10:00 - 14:00: Race
  • 15:00: Award ceremony on the main stage

The entry fee (80 euros for adults / 40 euros for U19s) includes dinner, breakfast rolls, water and fruit as well as the chance to win prize money. There will also be a raffle for all U19 riders. A car park for all participants in the immediate vicinity of the event is also available. There will also be another opportunity to try out the latest test equipment on site.

Manuel Vogel, born in 1981, lives in Kiel and learned to windsurf at the age of six at his father's surf school. In 1997, he completed his training as a windsurfing instructor and worked for over 15 years as a windsurfing instructor in various centers, at Kiel University sports and in the coaching team of the “Young Guns” freestyle camps. He has been part of the surf test team since 2003. After completing his teaching degree in 2013, he followed his heart and started as editor of surf magazine for the test and riding technique sections. Since 2021, he has also been active in wingfoiling - mainly at his home spots on the Baltic Sea or in the waves of Denmark.
