From 22 to 24 August 2025, the 1001grad team visited the Baltic seaside resort of Kellenhusen for the third time. Three disciplines were on the programme: wingfoiling, windsurfing fin and windsurfing foil - and almost 60 participants were lured to the spot in the Bay of Lübeck by a good wind forecast. According to the organisers, it was particularly pleasing "that around a third of the participants were under 19 years old and were able to take part in this event free of charge thanks to the support of boot Düsseldorf. Eight female surfers and participants from the Netherlands and Lithuania also enriched the field of participants."
The event kicked off on Friday with a photo shoot with the Professional photographer and videographer Bulgenslag. Saturday began with the registration of the participants, followed by exciting competitions in the three disciplines Wingfoiling, Windsurfing fin and Windsurfing Foil. Despite challenging conditions with shifting winds, several races were held. The day ended with a free BBQ, followed by an after-surf party with live DJs providing the atmosphere. Sunday again brought several races in good wind conditions. The ranking battles were exciting and fair, resulting in a total of 25 scoring heats. At the end of the event, there was a raffle where all participants were able to go home with a prize. The next and final event in the 1001grad Regatta Series 2025 is already just around the corner: On 20 and 21 September the Racer and Winger of the Sea will take place in Hemmelmark near Eckernförde. Registrations are available at www.1001grad-events.de possible.
