Fehmarn will once again become a Mecca for foil enthusiasts at Whitsun 2025. The largest foil board sports festival in the world will take place here from 6 to 9 June. Over 50 exhibitors will present their latest innovations in wing foiling, pump foiling, SUP foiling, e-foiling and wind foiling on the Baltic Sea island.

The Foil Festival had already moved from Schönberg to Fehmarn in 2024 - a good decision in retrospect. In 2025, everything that the manufacturers' product ranges have to offer will once again be foiled on Fehmarn's south beach. One highlight of the festival is the free testing opportunities. Visitors can try out the latest foil equipment directly on site. Special courses in wing and pump foiling are offered for beginners, organised in cooperation with boot Düsseldorf. Even in calm conditions, foil fans will get their money's worth: either with muscle power when pump foiling or with electric support on e-foils.

German Championships and Downwind Experience

The sporting highlight of the festival is the German Wingfoil Slalom Championships. As part of the "Winger of the Sea" event (Click HERE to register) the best German wingfoilers compete against each other. For SUP foil enthusiasts, the Downwind Experience Daily coaching sessions under the direction of Kai-Nicolas Steimer. An old fishing boat will take the participants out onto the Baltic Sea, from where they will ride the swell back to the festival site. If you want to take part, you can register HERE.

Foil Festival 2025 with beach camp and supporting programme

Once again this year, the Foil Festival goes far beyond a mere product fair. Visitors can stay overnight in the beach camp and set off directly from their campervan or motorhome onto the water. On the Foil Talk stage on the beach, developers and experts will provide information about equipment, trends and foil areas. A food corner will provide refreshments, while evening community meet-ups will invite visitors to socialise and exchange ideas.
