From 28 to 31 August, the Girls Camp organised by 1001grad Events, powered by Starboard & Severne, took place at the water sports centre in Kellenhusen. This time, 21 girls and women aged between nine and 70 took part. The colourful group of participants included both beginners and advanced surfers. Over the course of four days, the participants were able to hone their windsurfing skills under the guidance of five qualified female coaches led by professional windsurfer Lina Erpenstein.
In addition to the water sports activities involving windsurfing, windfoiling and wakefoiling, the programme also included techtalks, a surf movie night and yoga sessions. The camp's new location at the Kellenhusen water sports centre contributed significantly to the positive experience. The spacious meadow offered plenty of room to set up, while the modern design of the water sports centre with its short distances to the various activities was impressive. According to the organiser, the nearby sandy beach, the sheltered equipment storage area and the camping meadow within walking distance created a great atmosphere. "A welcoming environment that went down extremely well with all participants. Special thanks to Starboard & Severne, who provided the necessary equipment and once again made an important contribution to promoting the female windsurfing community"Leon Delle from the organiser 1001grad summed up. There will be a new edition of the Girls Camp in 2026. The exact date will be announced on the social media channels (@1001grad) and at www.1001gradevents.de announced.
