The Windsurfing-Club Wittensee-Rendsburg e.V. (WCWR) is once again offering professional regatta training for windsurfers and wingfoilers in 2025. The varied conditions of Lake Wittensee and the support of the class associations promise optimal competition preparation for beginners and professionals.

The Windsurfing-Club Wittensee-Rendsburg e.V. (WCWR) will continue to offer high-calibre regatta training for windsurfers and wingfoilers in 2025. The training sessions will take place directly on the WCWR club grounds and at the official bathing area. High air on Lake Wittensee. The lake's varied conditions - from shallows and gusts to challenging wave patterns - provide the perfect backdrop for intensive competition preparation.

The event is supported by the German Windsurfing Association (GWA) and the German Wing Foil Association (DWFV). Thanks to these partnerships, the WCWR can continue to keep the expense allowance for participants low despite the general rise in costs. For up to ten participants, the fee is 20 euros per person, from eleven participants it is even reduced to 15 euros. Payment is made in advance before the training.

Promotion for GWA members

The offer is particularly attractive for windsurfers who are members of the GWA. The class association is subsidising regatta training in 2025 with a grant totalling up to 1,000 euros. The principle is: First Come - First Serve. Participants initially pay themselves, but receive a certificate of participation from the WCWR at the end of the season. This can then be submitted to the GWA and the amount will be reimbursed as long as the funding pot lasts.

Regatta training for all performance levels

The training is aimed at windsurfers with fins, foil windsurfers and wingfoilers. Whether you are a competition novice or an experienced racer - the common goal is to improve your skills and have more fun on the water. The training content includes the perfect start, tactics in crowds, overtaking manoeuvres, reading the area and jibing in crowds. The mixture of theory and practice promises a high learning effect for all participants.

Registration and realisation

A training session starts from six registrations, there is no upper limit. The more participants sign up, the more action is guaranteed on the water. The registration process is straightforward: Interested parties first fill out the registration form on the Website of the WCWR out. They then receive an access link to an app in which all training dates are listed. There they can register directly for the desired dates and also specify individual wishes or training focuses.
