Winter is just around the corner. But now is no time for winter deprivation, because even the cold season can provide great wingsurfing moments - as our gallery proves.

Winter divides opinion. Some people consistently hide behind a warm stove from October to March and are only persuaded to return by double-digit air and water temperatures. Others simply ignore the cold, buy a thick winter neo (here's a big neo test for Ladies and for men ) and simply surf through.

Regardless of how you personally feel about winter, special photos are always taken at this time of year. When the winter sun breaks through the dark clouds and bathes everything in soft light, or an angry winter storm churns up the sea, not only the hearts of die-hards leap for joy, but also those of the photographers on the shore. To get you in the mood for the approaching winter, here are the best photos from the last winter season - in the hope that the coming winter holds similarly great moments in store

It could have been such a beautiful picture. If only it wasn't for the icicles in front of the lens
