The Foil Festival 2025 has begun. We were there for the opening and show you what highlights await you on Fehmarn and whether it's worth a visit.

Only a few days after the surf festival the Foil Festival is currently taking place at the same location, on Fehmarn's south beach. Almost 50 exhibitors from the world of foiling present their new products right on the water's edge, and anyone who registers as a tester can try out equipment from all brands free of charge and find out about the latest trends.

In addition to the testing opportunities, there are numerous other highlights that are well worth a visit until next Monday: For example, the fun regatta Winger of the Sea, the Downwind Challenge and the German Wingfoil Slalom Championships. Special courses in wingfoiling and pumpfoiling are offered for beginners, organised in cooperation with boot Düsseldorf and run by the Heidkate surf school.

Even in calm conditions, foil fans will get their money's worth: either with muscle power when pump foiling or with electric support on e-foils. And stars of the scene such as Vinnicius Martins and Balz Müller will also be at the Foil Festival 2025.
