In Brazil, the best wingfoilers are currently competing for points and prize money at the GWA Wingfoil World Cup Fortaleza. Watch the highlights of the freestyle discipline here in the video.

In contrast to the event in Dakhla ( HERE for the Morocco highlights), the focus at the GWA Wingfoil World Cup Fortaleza is on freestyle moves. 15 attempts are allowed per heat, with the best four moves being counted towards the final score - so there is plenty of room for error. However, due to the PWA Windsurf World Cup taking place at the same time in the south of France, some top riders are missing in Brazil, most notably Balz Müller from Switzerland. Nevertheless, there was no need to worry about the action on the water, as big moves such as backflips were on show almost from round 1.

The following clip gives a good impression of the action, the first laps up to the semi-finals were driven.

You can follow the action on the beach live again today. Have fun!
