The Ice Surfing, Waving and Kiting World Championships in Sweden came to an end at the weekend. For five days, the participants raced across Lake Mälaren near Västerås. The best pictures!

There were a total of five categories at the Ice & Snow Sailing World Championship (ISSWC). Arvydas Moliusis won the windsurfing category, officially known as sledging, in the course race and Giedrius Liutkus in the short track, both from Lithuania. The Norwegian Idan Shubin came out on top in the course race with the wing, while Erik Karelfelt from Sweden won the short track.

In general, there was a strong presence of competitors from the Scandinavian countries, with many ice surfers also travelling to Sweden from the Baltic states. Some participants had also travelled from the USA, as well as individual starters from France, the Netherlands and Poland.
