Even professionals like Wesley Brito, Jerome Cloetens and Celement Roseyro sometimes have to get out of their comfort zone. On the day in question, nobody knew exactly what to expect from the protagonists.
Jerome Cloetens:"It was the day of the return flight and we wanted to surf the incoming swell beforehand. Nobody really knew what to expect. I thought it would be good to just ride the round waves further out first until the camera crew had taken up position. Nevertheless, I found myself in the impact zone quicker than I would have liked. I got one of the hardest washes of my life and had to get through two big sets before I made it back out. After that, my legs were shaking and all confidence was washed away. Luckily, Wesley and Matchu came outside at some point and convinced me to give it another go. Luckily, they were able to persuade me - because it was one of those days you never forget."
