In the coming season, boot Düsseldorf will cover all entry fees for the Racer/Winger of the Sea competitions for all U19 youngsters. In addition to boot Düsseldorf's support, the 1001Grad Events team, which organises and runs the events, will pay ten percent of all entry fees and sponsorship money into a newly established fund for youth development. This fund will be used to organise and finance further youth development projects in the future.
"The cooperation between boot Düsseldorf and 1001Grad Events enables young talents to take part in our events without having to overcome financial hurdles," say the two initiators Oliver Tom Schliemann and Leon Delle, who are delighted about the new partnership. "It's a forward-looking step for our regattas and a way of making windsurfing and wingfoil sports even more accessible." Leon and Oliver-Tom would like to express their thanks to boot Düsseldorf. "This cooperation and the enormous interest in our everyman regattas spurs us on to continue to do our best and organise even more attractive events for our water sports community."
Since 1 January 2024, all events have been available online via the website www.1001grad-events.de bookable.
The 1001Grad Events team has been committed to supporting young people from the very beginning. In addition to the everyman regattas, they offer several camps per year. They say they have already achieved their goal of being the main contact point for young shortboard regatta windsurfers in Germany with the Racer of the Sea, and numerous young people also take part in the Winger of the Sea. boot Düsseldorf has also been involved in promoting young talent for a long time and has been supporting young people entering the regatta scene for several years.
