Testing, workshops and races: SUP & Wingfoil Festival on the south beach on Fehmarn

Waves, wind and sun - the SUP & Wingfoil Festival Fehmarn promises water sports and pure summer feeling on the south beach again from 1 to 3 August 2025. For the 14th time, the area, which is also home to the surf festival, will be transformed into a hotspot for SUP and wingfoil fans from all over Germany. The German SUP Open Ocean Championships will take centre stage with the Sprint, Long Distance and Technical Race disciplines. The German Wingfoil Freestyle Champion will also be crowned for the first time this year.

There is also an extensive programme for athletes and spectators away from the contests. Those who want to get out on the water themselves can take part in free SUP and wingfoil taster courses. SUP yoga sessions on the water or relaxed yoga sessions on the beach are also part of the programme. For those who prefer to stay on land but still want to experience the surfing feeling, Stoked Zone offers surf skate workshops. Balance and surf skate training sessions round off the hands-on programme. Participation in all activities is free of charge - everyone can experience the festival feeling up close and try out new water sports.

Top brands to test

Leading water sports brands present their latest products at the festival and make them available for testing free of charge. Amongst others, Duotone, PPC Foiling, Jimmy Lewis, Fanatic and Core will be there, all of whom have a home game on Fehmarn. The manufacturers offer visitors the opportunity to test their latest boards, wings and foils under real conditions. All you need to borrow a board is an ID card as a deposit. The brand representatives will also be available to answer questions about their products and provide valuable tips on choosing the right equipment. An ideal opportunity for anyone who is thinking of buying new equipment or simply wants to try out different models.

Various brands from the camping sector will also be showcasing their products: The converted Overlander motorhomes in particular will awaken visitors' wanderlust. The EXPLORER magazine team will be on site to provide valuable tips on off-road travelling, camper conversion and adventure planning. Workshops, film evenings and lectures on the subject of outdoor adventures round off the offer. If you want to experience the full festival feeling, you can camp directly at the event site - there is space for campervans, motorhomes and tents in the Race Camp.

The beach parties will continue after the competitions: DJ Linus Erdmann, powered by Duotone, will play on Friday and DJ Flocke, powered by Core, will provide the atmosphere on Saturday. The parties start at 19:00 and go on until 01:00. Cool drinks and cocktails will be provided. During the day, visitors can fortify themselves at the food court and browse for new water sports accessories at the beach shop.
