Trying out, testing, learning: An overview of the most exciting wing events of the year

These test festivals are ideal for a first impression: those who have only seen pictures and videos of wing foiling can discover the material and feel for the first time how the wind fills the wing with power. Trying it out on the water is also expressly encouraged! Wingsurfing experts or experienced trainers are often on hand to give tips or organise courses.

And, not to forget: Many wing events have a colourful supporting programme with catering, parties and other attractions for the whole family!

Wingdays Altmühlsee

• 29 April - 1 May, Surfcenter Altmühlsee
• For three days, visitors to the spot south of Nuremberg will have the opportunity to attend taster courses or test equipment from well-known exhibitors. A downwind slalom race for everyone is also planned.

Season opening "Try & Fly" at Stickl Sportcamp on Lake Garda

• 6 - 7 May 2023, Malcesine, Lake Garda
• Starboard will be presenting the latest board and wing innovations at Stickl, and experts will be on hand to answer any questions. For less experienced board sports enthusiasts, there will be test sessions on surf and SUP boards with wings. Experienced windsurfers and kitesurfers can get straight onto the wingfoil boards after a short preparation session. With the trainer boat, the group is very flexible and always at the best spot depending on the wind situation. Boards and wings can be swapped between the foilers on the water.

Wing Testival Achensee

• 24-25 June 2023, Achensee
• The event in the south is organised, no joke, by the Norddeich surf school. Test equipment will be available and riding technique workshops will also be offered. A relaxed supporting programme with BBQ and music rounds things off.

Wingfoil and Windsurf Testival Silvaplana

• 8 - 9 July 2023, Silvaplana
• Large test in cooperation with Windsurfing Silvaplana and competent advice on site from experienced water sports experts, plus test equipment from numerous brands

• 4 - 6 August 2023, Fehmarn, south beach
• Come along and take a look at the latest material developments from the various brand warehouses. Guided by professional coaches, you can get straight onto it and get started. If you get the competitive spirit while visiting this wing event, you can register for the wingfoil contests, as the event is also a stop on the German Wingfoil Tour.

Foil-Festival Schönberg

• 18 - 20 August 2023, Schönberg beach, pier
• Become a wingfoiler yourself and try out the latest WingFoil equipment directly on site and make your first experiences with the new water trend sport! We also offer taster courses for beginners. In addition, the German champions will be crowned at the Open German Championships as part of the German Wing Foil Tour
