Especially in the winter months, the breaks between surfing sessions can be long - often too long to be able to seamlessly return to your old level at the start of the season. Strength training can help, but lifting dumb weights is not everyone's cup of tea and sometimes fails to meet the requirements of certain board sports. In contrast, the Turtleboard is specially tailored to the requirements of surfers, skaters and snowboarders and is designed to enable holistic training.
The aim of training with the Turtleboard is to simulate realistic movement sequences. This results primarily from the construction of the board: a thick rubber ball is placed under the curved deck, making the training multi-dimensional and giving a practical floating sensation, as the ball constantly seeks the centre of the board due to the curvature of the deck.
In this way, the training device not only strengthens the leg, buttock and core muscles, but also has positive effects on posture, coordination and balance.
The Turtleboard is available in several versions, e.g. with pads made of EVA or cork (239 euros) up to the "premium" model made of fine walnut wood (279 euros).
