Over the past few years, the 1001grad She Surfs Camp has established itself as a go-to destination for girls and women who want to improve their water sports skills. The next camp will take place in Kellenhusen from 30 July to 2 August (Registration and information here). This year, Foil Drive – one of the leading manufacturers of e-foil assist technologies – is bringing several sets to the Baltic Sea. Participants can try out the systems free of charge, allowing them to get out on the water even on windless days.
Foil Drive’s E-Foil Assist kits solve a classic problem: you no longer have to spend windless days on dry land. The technology makes it possible to get out on the water and practise foiling even when there’s no wind. For participants at the She Surfs Camp, this means more time on the water and additional opportunities to practise. The free trial gives the women the chance to get to know the technology and decide whether E-Foil Assist could be of interest for their own training. The support provided by Foil Drive thus adds another dimension to what the camp has to offer.
The camp is aimed at women of all ages and ability levels. The focus is on the idea that women learn from women. The relaxed and supportive atmosphere enables participants to enjoy themselves together, make new friends and grow closer as a strong community.
The participants have access to high-quality equipment from Starboard and Severne Germany. The camp aims not only to develop individual skills on the water, but also to encourage interaction and camaraderie amongst the participants. Alongside the water sports programme, the women can look forward to a varied programme of social activities. Yoga sessions, equipment workshops and a film night are all on the programme. The combination of training on the water and activities on land creates a well-rounded camp experience.
