Winger of the Sea: One Hour format also for wingfoilers

Just like the Racer of the Sea, the Winger of the Sea is adding the One Hour format to its programme for the 2926 season. It starts in parallel on 18 and 19 April at Dümmer, with the following weekend (25/26) as an alternative date. The next regatta in Strande near Kiel will then follow directly on the first weekend in May.

• Racers of the Sea start the season with two One Hour events

The one-day format is based on several races over a fixed time of one hour, in which the number of laps completed determines the ranking. The event is aimed at wingfoil enthusiasts who want to gain their first competitive experience or start the 2026 season. Organisers Leon Delle and Oliver-Tom-Schliemann announced that they will be setting up both a slalom and an up & downwind course, allowing participants to compete in their preferred discipline or try out different formats.

The entire Racer and Winger of the Sea community will then meet in the evening for a BBQ, and there will also be professional photos for all participants!
