The Winger of the Sea makes its first stop at Lake Dümmer in Lower Saxony - on 26/27 April 2025. The popular race for everyone will once again be organised by 1001Grad Events in cooperation with the Dümmersee surf centre. This event marks the official start of the national wingfoil regatta season and offers numerous highlights.
The aim of WOTS VI is clear: to further grow the wingfoil community in Germany and bring it together. The decision to organise a Winger of the Sea away from the Baltic Sea for the first time is primarily aimed at all wingfoil fans from western and central Germany - even though the Dümmersee is only a good two hours' drive from Hamburg and should therefore also be a great opportunity for an eventful weekend for northerners. The event location offers, according to the organiser, "ideal conditions for an unforgettable event. Whether large meadow areas for setting up and dismantling the equipment or a campsite belonging to the surf centre within walking distance of the water - the participants can be optimally accommodated here. In addition, the water depth of 1.4 metres at this time of year ensures that there are no restrictions on the choice of equipment."
The relaxed competition atmosphere will be accompanied by a supporting programme, including a free BBQ where the focus will once again be on socialising. Once again, there will be no entry requirements for WOTS 2025 - everyone is welcome to take part. To capture your memories, a professional photographer will be on site to capture the best moments. Thanks to the numerous pool sponsors of the Winger of the Sea, there will also be a raffle with great prizes.
All those who register by 31 March 2025 will benefit from a discounted participation fee (40 euros). Thanks to the partnership with boot Düsseldorf, young people under the age of 19 can even take part free of charge until 31 March! All information about this event and the Registration can be found on the organiser's website.
