For Moreno, the success meant her second consecutive victory on the GWA Wingfoil World Tour in the wave discipline, which puts her at the top of the rankings ahead of the final stop of the season in Brazil at the end of October: "I don't actually dare to expect or hope for anything"she said immediately afterwards. "But I'm so looking forward to travelling to Brazil. Everyone says it's a fantastic place, but I've never been there."
The Maui-born Berzolla was again an absolute sensation when he won the final in Dakhla, his second consecutive victory there. Berzolla was the only rider who managed to surf a perfect wave with the highest score of 10.0. In the final against his mate, Maui local Otis Buckingham, he scored a remarkable 18.96 out of a possible 20 points for his two wave rides: "The victory is indescribable"said Berzolla. "A final with my best friend from Maui and I'm really thrilled to have won again in Dakhla. I never expected to get a 10. I just go out there and do my best and when a wave comes, I just hope everything works out.
